Privacy Policy

Viral Video Maker is built around a simple idea: you shouldn't need an account to use it. There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile. This policy explains the small amount of data we do handle, and why.

1. What we collect

• An anonymous device identifier. On first launch the App generates a random ID stored on your device. It is not derived from your hardware, phone number, or any personal detail, and it is the only identity we have for you. Your trends, generated videos, schedules and credit balance are linked to it.
• Your email address — only if you choose to give it. Email is optional and used solely for notifications you request (video ready, schedule delivered, credits low) and purchase confirmations. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe that also deletes the address from our systems.
• Subscription state. When you subscribe, Google Play or the Apple App Store processes the payment. We receive a purchase token or signed transaction, transaction identifiers, and subscription status from the store so we can grant your credits. On iOS, your anonymous app identifier is also sent to Apple as an app account token to link your subscription. We never see your card details, name, or billing address.
• The content you create. Trend names, keywords, saved prompts, reference images you upload, custom creator descriptions and portraits, your video prompts, and the videos we generate for you are stored on our servers so the App can show them back to you.
• Saved searches and service diagnostics. Your saved topics and search keywords support trend discovery. Our servers record request details, response times and errors to operate and troubleshoot the service. These records may include an IP address and references to your app resources; we do not use them for advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. What we don't collect

• No name, phone number, contacts, or location.
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. Our website counts page views with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool we host ourselves, which records the page, referrer, browser, device type and country without identifying you.
• No access to your TikTok or other social accounts — trend data comes from publicly available TikTok surfaces, not from your account.

3. How generation works with third parties

You can browse and search public trends without agreeing to AI processing. Our daily topic list and video searches use publicly available social-video trends. These are fetched by our servers, without sending your device identifier to those services.

Before you first subscribe or use AI features, the App presents a one-time, explicit agreement within the form. Your choice is remembered on your device, so it is not requested for each video. Subscribing or restoring a purchase by itself does not grant this permission.

With your permission, when you request AI ideas or generate a video (including scheduled videos), the prompts, topic details and reference images involved are processed by the AI providers that power the pipeline:

• OpenRouter (routing to Google's Gemini models) — writes the scene script from your prompt and trend settings.
• Replicate (running OpenAI's GPT Image, ByteDance's Seedance, and Pruna AI's P-Video models) — creates images and videos. For UGC videos, we send your selected creator portrait and video instructions. Custom creator descriptions are sent to OpenAI's image model through Replicate, and the resulting portrait is saved in your private creator library.
• Resend — delivers the optional notification emails described above.
• Expo and Apple or Google push services — use a push token to deliver video and schedule notifications when you enable them.

The AI providers process the content needed to fulfil your request under their own terms. We do not include your app device identifier or email alongside AI prompts and images. Resend receives your email address and notification content when you enable email notifications.

4. Retention & deletion

• Generated videos, custom creator portraits, trends and settings are kept while you use the App so your library keeps working. Custom creators are private to your app account and are removed when you delete that account.
• Unused credits expire per the in-app rollover policy; the underlying ledger is retained for accounting.
• You can request deletion in Settings → Delete app account and data, without contacting support. Your app account closes, new activity stops, and the App shows completion status. We remove your topics, prompts, uploads, videos, schedules, email, preferences and credit balance within 30 days. See Data deletion for details, including running generations and exported copies.
• We retain limited store transaction and subscription records and a revoked anonymous identifier for billing, fraud prevention and to prevent old sessions from recreating the account. These records do not contain your prompts, images or videos.
• The identifier may persist in the iOS Keychain after uninstalling. Uninstalling does not delete server-side data or cancel a store subscription; use the deletion request above and manage your subscription in your store account.

5. Legal bases & your rights

We process the data above to provide the service you request (contract), to keep it secure and bill correctly (legitimate interest), and — for optional emails — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your data; contact us and we will honour them.

6. Children

The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.

7. Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Media and database access are restricted to signed, expiring links and authenticated infrastructure.

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note the new effective date above.
